How do I use the Pastel Eyeshadow Palette?

You can apply the shades with a brush or your fingertips, Jo recommends a finger tip application to press color on for best color payoff, then using brushes to blend the edges.
Eyeshadow shades are versatile for any part of the eye. Jo recommends using any single color as a colorwash all over the eye to start your experimenting with pastel shades.
For a soft pastel haze use alone, but for more pigment color intensity apply ontop of a light cream shadow for extra punch!

Delightful!

These mattes were so much fun to play with, really rounding out my 'art supplies' and in such a tidy little package. Here I used a white primer base, laid down a wash of colors with the Bakeup Pastels, and then tapped sparkles over the whole shebang. I've been disappointed by pastels before, but these are quite nice. The eye primer is good too, but to the Pastels' credit this lasted 8+ hours on my oily lids. Excited to come up with the next look!

Beautiful Watercolor Effect

I recreated Suki Waterhouse’s Met Gala ‘23 makeup perfectly with this pastel palette. It blends like a dream and is extremely pigmented. It also took up little to no space in my MUA kit. I’ve got my eye in the neutral palette next.

The cutest mini palette to create colorful looks with! The palette is tiny, but a little goes a long way when you pair it with a while eyeshadow base! The colors are pigmented and they mix well together to create transition shades. I absolutely love this palette and how it allows me to be creative!

So glad I ran across this pastel palette on YouTube and ordered it. I’ve been looking for a pastel palette that packed a punch when layered but could also give a watercolor effect when applied with a light hand. I was not disappointed!

I love the colors in this palette. For the price the cost seems about right - meaning it’s a small palette, perfect for travel, that I’d expect to cost a list more if it was the size of a standard palette. My only caveat is that you really need a white base to see these colors show up in a meaningful way.

So pigmented and easy to apply

The baby blue is pretty pigmented but they are nothing like the clips I saw on IG. Not a lot of pigment at all and for the price and size, I personally felt like it is not worth $24.00. My bad.

Very powdery formula and doesn’t stick well to the skin because it’s very dry. Most definitely needs a tacky base to hold on to. Not sure if this is dark skin friendly either.
Also the size of this palette is incredibly small for the price and personally not worth it.

For those afraid of color…

I am a neutral eyeshadow girl at my core. I have always been a fan of Jo’s work, so I saw this, and figured it was worth a shot. I’m very into the color payoff. I also have to mention that these are outstanding on their own, but they work great integrated into full eye looks. I never thought I would be one to be wearing colorful eyeshadow nearly every time I wear makeup. I am happy to find a product that makes me want to.
